XQS snus

Who makes XQS?

XQS is a Swedish brand, founded in Jämtland in 2005, and its pouches are made in Sweden. Since 2023 it has been part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group. XQS describes itself as having grown from a local pioneer to the second-largest brand in the Swedish market.

If you want to try several XQS flavours, the XQS Mixpack combines five: Raspberry Blackcurrant Strong, Blueberry Mint Light, Hallonsoda Strong, Berrynana Twist Strong and Wintergreen Light.

How strong is XQS? Light, Strong and X-Strong

Our XQS cans start at 4mg of nicotine per pouch, and the last word of each name sets the strength. The table shows what each name means and how many cans we carry with it.

Each can also prints its nicotine per pouch, for example 4mg on Light and 8mg on Strong.

Mg per pouch is the figure to compare with other brands. XQS's own scale puts Regular at 4 to 6mg per pouch and Strong at 8 to 10mg. Its top band starts at 11mg. By that scale, our X-Strong cans at 9.6mg per pouch sit in the maker's Strong band, not its top one.

Black Cherry, Blueberry Mint, Cactus Sour, Elderflower, Fizzy Cola, Tropical and Twin Apple each have a Light can and a Strong can. If you like one of them at 4mg and want more, the Strong can of the same flavour has 8mg per pouch.

The eight Light cans, at 4mg per pouch, are the mildest XQS we carry. Above Strong, the three X-Strong cans, Arctic Freeze X-Strong, Chili Mango X-Strong and Cool Ice X-Strong, contain 9.6mg per pouch. For more nicotine per pouch than our XQS range offers, Pablo reaches 35mg per pouch.

Which XQS flavours are there?

We carry XQS in 18 flavours, most of them fruit or mint.

Fruit and berry

• Hallonsoda: Swedish for raspberry soda, raspberry with a light, fizzy soda character.
• Raspberry Blackcurrant and Berrynana Twist: two berry blends. Raspberry Blackcurrant pairs raspberry with blackcurrant, both slightly tangy; Berrynana Twist opens with berry and moves on to creamy banana.
• Strawberry Kiwi: sweet strawberry with the sharper, tangy note of kiwi.
• Twin Apple: red and green apple together, one sweet and one tart.
• Black Cherry: dark cherry, ripe and sweet, with a touch of sourness.
• Tropical: pineapple, mango and passion fruit together.
• Elderflower: elderflower blossom with lychee and pear notes.
• Chili Mango: sweet mango against chilli heat.

Mint

• Spearmint and Wintergreen: Spearmint is bright and slightly sweet; Wintergreen is sweet and creamy with a herbal note.
• Arctic Freeze and Cool Ice: icy mints built around a strong cooling effect.
• Blueberry Mint: blueberry first, then cool mint.
• Citrus Cooling: sharp, zesty citrus that turns into a cooling finish.

Cola, toffee and sour cactus

• Fizzy Cola: sweet cola with caramel notes and a fizzy feel.
• Soft Toffee: a soft caramel-toffee sweetness.
• Cactus Sour: tart, sour cactus with a green note.
