Few nicotine pouch brands cause as much confusion about strength as Iceberg. The cans say 20, 50 or 70 — but is that per pouch or per gram? Why does "Iceberg 150 mg" show up everywhere, and is it even nicotine? And how does any of it compare with a Velo or a Pablo? This guide answers all of that using the products actually sold at Europesnus, so you can read an Iceberg can correctly before you order from our Iceberg snus collection.
Entry tier
20 mg/g ≈ 12–14 mg per pouch
Core tier
50 mg/g ≈ 35 mg per pouch
Top tier
70 mg/g ≈ 50 mg per pouch
"150 mg" at Europesnus
Caffeine, not nicotine
Pouch weight
~0.7 g, 20 per can
Iceberg labels its pouches in milligrams of nicotine per gram of pouch content (mg/g). Most Nordic brands — Velo, Zyn, Skruf — label in milligrams per pouch. That difference is the source of nearly every misunderstanding about Iceberg's strength.
To convert, multiply the mg/g figure by the pouch weight. An Iceberg slim pouch weighs about 0.7 g, so:
Put that next to a Velo Max at 17 mg per pouch or a Skruf Xtra at 18 mg, and it becomes clear why even Iceberg's entry tier is not a beginner product.
| Tier | Per pouch | Flavors | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 mg/g | ~12–14 mg | Cool Mint, Black, Cola, Bubblegum, Watermelon, Energy | Adults who already use medium-strong pouches |
| 50 mg/g | ~35 mg | Most of the range, incl. Arasaka, Emerald, Dragon Fruit, Bubblegum, Black, Energy and the entire Pie Collection | Experienced adults with a high, established tolerance |
| 70 mg/g | ~50 mg | Selected flavors, e.g. Black 70 mg and Energy 70 mg | Very experienced adults only |
This is where Iceberg starts, and it is the tier we recommend to anyone trying the brand for the first time. Six flavors are available at 20 mg/g: Cool Mint, Black, Cola, Bubblegum, Watermelon and Energy. At roughly 14 mg per pouch it is comparable to the strongest products from mainstream brands — not a light pouch by any standard, but manageable for adults who already use pouches in the 10–15 mg range.
This is Iceberg as most people know it. The vast majority of flavors — Arasaka, Emerald, Dragon Fruit, Watermelon Lime, Bubblegum, Black, Crazy Mix and the whole Pie Collection — sit here. At about 35 mg per pouch it is roughly double a Velo Max and firmly in extra-strong territory. This is the tier the brand's reputation is built on, and the reason it is not a brand for beginners.
The strongest nicotine tier Europesnus carries, available in a handful of flavors such as Black 70 mg and Energy 70 mg. At about 50 mg per pouch it is one of the strongest nicotine pouches on the European market. If you are not already a regular user of 50 mg/g products, this tier is not for you.
"Iceberg 150 mg" is one of the most searched Iceberg terms — and one of the most misunderstood, because the same number is used for two completely different products.
At Europesnus, 150 mg means caffeine. Every product in our range labeled 150 mg belongs to the Iceberg Energy caffeine pouch line — for example Iceberg Energy Black 150 mg and Iceberg Energy Arasaka 150 mg. These contain 150 mg of caffeine per pouch and no nicotine at all. They share the flavor names and the slim white format of the nicotine range, which is exactly why they get mixed up. You will find them in our separate Iceberg caffeine pouch collection.
In some markets, 150 mg means nicotine. Neoptolem also produces a 150 mg/g nicotine version of Iceberg Black — roughly 105 mg per pouch at 0.7 g, or more than double the 70 mg/g tier. That product is not part of the Europesnus range. If you see a retailer advertising "Iceberg 150 mg snus", check whether they mean the caffeine pouch or the nicotine pouch, and whether the figure is per gram or per pouch, before drawing any conclusion about strength.
The same caution applies to any higher numbers you may come across online: always establish the unit first. An mg/g figure and a per-pouch figure for the same product can differ by a factor of ten.
| Brand | Labels in | Range per pouch (approx.) | Iceberg equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|
| Velo | mg per pouch | 4–17 mg | Velo Max ≈ Iceberg 20 mg/g |
| Skruf | mg per pouch | 6–18 mg | Skruf Xtra ≈ Iceberg 20 mg/g |
| Killa | mg/g | ~12–16 mg (16 mg/g) | Between Iceberg 20 and 50 mg/g |
| Pablo | mg/g | up to ~40 mg (50 mg/g, 0.8 g) | Pablo Exclusive ≈ Iceberg 50 mg/g |
The pattern: the Nordic brands top out roughly where Iceberg begins. Only Pablo overlaps with Iceberg's core tier, and nothing in the mainstream reaches Iceberg's 70 mg/g.
You use pouches under 10 mg → Iceberg is probably not your brand yet. Even 20 mg/g is a clear step up. Consider a Velo or Skruf strong variant first.
You use 10–17 mg pouches (Velo Max, Skruf Xtra, Zyn strong) → Start at 20 mg/g. Cool Mint 20 mg for a reference mint, Black 20 mg or Cola 20 mg if you want to taste the brand's signature profiles at the lowest strength.
You already use Killa or Pablo → Iceberg 50 mg/g is your natural landing point. Arasaka and Emerald are the two flavors people most often start with; the Pie Collection is the one nobody else makes.
You use 50 mg/g products daily and want more → 70 mg/g in Black or Energy. Nothing above this exists in the Europesnus range.
You want the energy kick without nicotine → That is the Iceberg Energy caffeine line, not this collection. Head to the caffeine pouches.

Strength warning: Iceberg's 50 and 70 mg/g tiers deliver roughly 35–50 mg of nicotine per pouch and are intended only for adult users with a well-established high nicotine tolerance. Nicotine is a highly addictive substance. These products are for adults aged 18 and over only.
Browse all three tiers in our Iceberg snus collection — every product is listed with its mg/g strength, and weekday orders placed before 14:00 ship the same day.
It depends on the tier. Iceberg labels in mg per gram; with a 0.7 g pouch that is roughly 14 mg (20 mg/g), 35 mg (50 mg/g) or 50 mg (70 mg/g) per pouch.
At Europesnus, every Iceberg product labeled 150 mg is a nicotine-free Energy caffeine pouch. A 150 mg/g nicotine version of Iceberg Black exists in some markets but is not sold at Europesnus, where 70 mg/g is the strongest nicotine tier.
At Europesnus, the 70 mg/g tier — about 50 mg of nicotine per pouch — available in flavors such as Black 70 mg and Energy 70 mg. It is intended for very experienced adult users only.
The 20 mg/g tier, about 12–14 mg per pouch, available in Cool Mint, Black, Cola, Bubblegum, Watermelon and Energy. Note that even this is stronger than most mainstream brands' standard products.
Iceberg 50 mg/g delivers about 35 mg per pouch — roughly double Velo's strongest product (17 mg) and about the same as Pablo Exclusive (50 mg/g in a slightly heavier 0.8 g pouch).
